Foundations of Rescue

$100.00
Dates

Building on the skills developed in The Art of the Capsize, this clinic focuses on what happens next—getting yourself or a partner back into a kayak efficiently and safely after a capsize. This hands-on, water-based session is designed to develop practical rescue skills that work in real paddling situations.

You’ll spend time practicing more advanced assisted re-entries like the T-rescue, H-rescue, bow rescue, paddle presentation, scoop, and Hand of God alongside a range of solo re-entries including the scramble and paddle float rescue. Emphasis is placed on clear communication, positioning, and choosing the right technique for the conditions.

By the end of the clinic, you’ll have a stronger, more adaptable rescue toolkit and greater confidence supporting both yourself and others on the water.
