Rockpool Kayaks has added a new low volume kayak to its fleet - the Tarantella.
Two years after the Taran 16 was launched to critical acclaim, the Tarantella 312 litres has been designed to provide a true low volume version of the record breaking design.
Developed in response to popular demand, the Tarantella is designed specifically for smaller, lighter paddlers. It features the same distinctive bow, long waterline, high front deck and flat hull making it a fast, dry kayak to paddle both up and down-wind.
“Combining speed with manoeuvrability, the Tarantella is a high performance sea kayak that will suit many lighter paddlers who want a fast boat which is also stable and responsive, to help them stay with the group.
“Like the Taran and Taran 16, the Tarantella performs perfectly when loaded for expedition use but it also makes an exceptional training boat - one which is just as much at home on choppy seas as it is on flat water. It's a light, fast boat that's easy to paddle anywhere.“

Ultra Premier Layup

- Spheretex flush-laid reinforcing keel and ribs
The Ultra Premier Layup provides the greatest weight reduction. This construction provides effortless handling, ease of carrying, and an extremely fast hull speed.
Graphics:
- Custom RAL colours (https://www.ralcolorchart.com/) and glitters/metal flake are included in price (2 colours for deck, 1 colour for hull)
- Additional colours and glitters/metal flake are an extra fee
- Glitter on the hull is an extra fee and is not recommended
- Deck graphics are included in the price (colour fade, starfish, kelp, etc.)
- Graphics cannot be sprayed into the front of the gelcoat (cutoff is 30 cm forward of the front hatch)
- Individual graphics can be done on request for an extra fee (check in with us to confirm what's possible)
